Kemasan retort pouch (retort pouch packaging) is a flexible, heat-resistant, and airtight pouch made of laminated plastic and metal foils. Often described as "canning in a bag," it is used to pre-cook and sterilize food at high temperatures (around 121°C–135°C), giving it a long shelf life of 1–2 years at room temperature without the need for preservatives or refrigeration.
