With the continuous development of the packaging industry, food packaging film has become an important protective film for food storage and packaging. Although the development of food film has been constrained by my country's weak technological innovation capabilities and slow technological progress, my country also has many competitive manufacturers. Food film can extend the shelf life of products, protect the appearance and quality of food, and generate certain economic benefits, making its use particularly important.

The demand for food packaging film is showing a continuous upward trend, mainly because it can be applied to various food packaging and processing processes, providing excellent protection for food. Therefore, in most cases, people choose to use food packaging film as a protective film for preservation and storage.

To a certain extent, food packaging film can shield small molecule gases, liquids, water vapor, and aromas, thus playing a role in preserving quality, freshness, flavor, and extending shelf life. It is widely used not only in the food packaging industry but also plays a very important role in pharmaceutical packaging.

Food-grade composite film is a commonly used composite roll film for packaging food products. It protects certain properties of food and includes various types such as milk powder composite film, color-printed food composite film, biscuit composite film, sausage composite film, and chocolate composite film. However, the following precautions should be taken when using food-grade composite film:

1. Pay attention to the material indicated on the product label. Currently, polyethylene film is widely used in food packaging; polypropylene film, due to its transparency, can be used for packaging bread, snacks, etc.; vinyl chloride film is used for packaging perishable foods such as vegetables and fruits, but should not be used for oily foods or heated in a microwave oven.

2. When heating food in a microwave oven, use containers labeled "microwave safe." Refrigerated and frozen foods in the refrigerator should be wrapped in cling film; ordinary plastic bags should not be used as substitutes.
